February 2024 release webinar, Inspera introduced several new capabilities aimed at enhancing user experience and functionality. One of the key updates is the transition of the Numerical Simulation question type from open beta to general availability, allowing users to generate a wide range of parameterized questions for both formative and summative assessments. Additionally, the test activation API now provides users with the ability to automate the entire testing process, from creating and enrolling students to activating the test. The release also introduces the “unlimited attempts” feature for multiple attempts tests, providing students with an improved user experience by clearly indicating that they have unlimited opportunities to complete a test.

Grading functionality has also been refined, with institutions now able to set default options for using or not using grading scales during assessment creation, streamlining the process for administrators. In addition, improvements have been made to the candidate report interface, ensuring that unnecessary grading sections are hidden when the “publish final grade” feature is disabled, enhancing clarity for graders. Welsh language support has been added to the candidate interface, expanding accessibility for Welsh-speaking users, and ongoing accessibility enhancements have been introduced, such as improved screen reader compatibility and tab navigation. Lastly, the release includes documentation updates for integrating Learning Management Systems (LMS) with Inspera, covering systems like Blackboard, Canvas, and Moodle, further supporting users in setting up smooth LMS integrations.
